Biz 2011

Happy New Year to all entrepreneurs! Some psychics said that this year is great year for all businesses. Well I said it’s great to hear of. I know that every businessman acquires an optimistic heart even up to the lowest point of their careers. Every year is a great year all we need is to do our part, right? I know everyone is hardworking, courageous and industrious. Let’s all celebrate this year of abundance of wealth. Always remember in every hard work we need to rest so that our health will not be at risk. Entrepreneurs make their way and not all will pass to all the tests… they may pass or fail but the important thing they remain standing against all odds. May God bless all of us that all our businesses will prosper this year! Biz biz biz

Almost 3 Months

It’s been almost three months since my fresh dressed chicken was running and not flying. Kidding aside, this business is not a joke. On our first two months usually we looked our neighbors that will get and credited our leftovers.Which is a big mistake for start ups businessmen. All you need to do is to lower the volume of chicken heads so that there will be no leftover. As of today we are still coping up on our business.

New Business Status

I am done on theories and now we are running on experiential learning on our fresh dressed chicken. It’s been quite hard if you don’t hit the right number of chicken heads eventually at the end of selling time we will have a lot of left over. I think not well enough for us because we need cash rather than chicken. Cash needed to pay for the daily capital, overhead expenses, etc. Sometimes I can’t catch the cash so what I did I need to refill it through my apparel business. Huh! Good luck to me…

Month Ago

A month ago I started a fresh dressed chicken business in the market. On my first day I thought I am equipped and prepared but the truth is, it’s not. I don’t even have the skill on chopping the different parts of the chicken. That was a month ago, today makes a difference. My skills could be trained and mastered. I may say today that I am continuously learning.

I am developing right now how to raise my daily volume. I am very happy that on the third week I was able to double it. Through a good marketing strategy I’ll be able to do this.

New Chicken/Poultry Business

I’m quite busy today because I’m preparing for our launch tomorrow. We are making big steps to open up a fresh chicken business. It’s been a month already since this was planned and I am just waiting for the right time. The right time is tomorrow August 15, 2010 Sunday and it is full moon. What ever does the day means I just felt that it is the right time. About 2am I talked to the supplier of fresh chicken and its good to go for tomorrow. At 10am I talked to the owner of the small place that I want to rent and now it is good too. While whining this morning I already listed all of prospect buyers that cook chicken on their meals. Of course I would like to start the household friends. And good news I have orders for tomorrow. LOL

Would you like to start up a fresh chicken business in the market? If yes, try to connect the dots that you need to be able to push through this business.

1. Look for a place to sell. It would be best if it is in the wet market area. The rent should be at a reasonable cost. Check the electricity connection and ask if there is an extra payment for it.
2. Look for the right supplier of chicken and try to deal with him if you get the product and pay him after selling time. Usually in the market they start at 3am until 12nn. You don’t need a huge amount of capital just to start up this business.
3. Try to familiarize the different ways of cutting the chicken parts. Example; bite size, thinly slice, etc.
4. Here are nine (9) other things that you need:
a. digital weighing scale (or you may use the traditional one)
b. stainless plate (where you put the chicken before weighing it)
c. wood chopping board (the thicker the better)
d. red mantle (it represents that your selling poultry products)
e. table and structured wood were you may hung the dressed chicken
f. plastic bag (size: tiny)
g. apron (so that the blood will not scatter on your clothes)
h. butcher’s knife, boning knife
i. dump clothes

Now we’re done and may start to sell! Good luck to us… In every business that we would enter try to be patient for the next three (3) months. After that we will know the flow of that business. Believe me it is worth to be yourself a boss and at the same time slave by your own business. Try to think the opportunity cost that you will earn.
